Popular Dominican fashion blogger Kyrzayda Rodriguez has passed on after battling stage 4 stomach cancer. Before she passed on, she shared an inspiring video that is now going viral.
The style blogger, who has a daughter named Kiandra Pinto, was diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive stomach cancer in 2017. All through the period of her illness, she stayed positive and continued to inspire her hundreds of thousands of followers. She also continued to work
even though she lost so much weight and became a shadow of herself.
Though terribly sick, as the New York Fashion Week began, Kyrzayda revealed she wanted to be there and even had her outfit ready in case she was able to make it.
She wrote:
A few days before NYFW, and I still haven’t decided if I’m attending this year, I do have my wardrobe ready just in case…. I’m going to share a few of my fav street style looks over my experiences. If it’s your first time attending Fashion Week; enjoy it to the max, really network, and don’t be afraid to be yourself. Remember it’s not about being everywhere but creating a special milestone in your life.
She also shared a video a few days ago advising her fans to live life the best way they can. She was on her hospital bed in the video and looked frail and out of breath. Yet, she tried to encourage her fans, while also thanking friends and fans for their constant support.
In the video, she said:
If there is something you want to do, go do it now. Don't wait for another day, another hour or another time. Go and do it now.
At some point in the video, she couldn't control her emotions and began crying.
Sadly, the inspiring woman lost her year-long battle with cancer on Sunday 9th September.
