The robbery incident has come as a shock to the family and even police as Tamara's mansion which she lives in with her husband is located in one of the most secure places in London as it sits in a private road close to Kensington Palace and a number of foreign embassies..

A spokesman for Ms Ecclestone said to Sun UK: "I can sadly confirm there has been a home invasion. Internal security are co-operating with police in this matter.
"Tamara and family are well but obviously angry and shaken by the incident.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called to a residential property in Palace Green, W8, at 11.11pm on Friday 13 December to reports of a burglary.
"Officers attended. It was reported that an amount of high value jewellery had been stolen.
