NFF crisis deepens as Police arrest Giwa for attempt to forcefully take over secretariat

Barrister Chris Giwa, a claimant to the presidency of the crisis-ridden Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has been arrested by the police. The police picked up Giwa on Friday when he attempted to forcefully take over the secretariat of the NFF in Abuja with his group.
It was gathered that Giwa had arrived at the secretariat, popularly known as the Glass House, causing panic.

The security operatives at the entrance of the secretariat were said to have quickly shut the gate against Giwa and his loyalists before arresting him.
He was arrested by policemen and taken to the Police Station in Wuse.
