Nigeria's Victor Moses showed how much he's improved this season under new coach Antonio Conte as his goal combined with Eden Hazard and Diego Costa's goals were enough to slice apart English premier League defending champions Leicester City.
Diego Costa opened the scoring in the 7th minute and paid tribute to teammate Willian whose mum died of cancer during the week before Eden Hazard, flourishing in a No.10 role, rounded Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel in the 32nd minute to score.
Nigeria International Victor Moses continued his rich vein of form as he scored in the 80th minute to rub salt on Leicester's 'psychological' injury as Claudio Ranieri made a big tactical error leaving star player and PFA player of the year Riyad Mahrez out of the starting line up.
Leicester city's former player Kante was a thorn in the flesh today against his former side and it will take more than a miracle to restore Leicester's ailing and 'failing by the day' premier league title defence.

A 15-year-old child bride has died after suffering from a massive brain hemorrhage while giving birth. The girl known only as Derya B gave birth in a village in the Mutki district of Turkey last week.

However, after the child was born, the girl was rushed to hospital complaining of headaches and nausea.

She was then rushed to intensive care after doctors said she had suffered from a brain hemorrhage but she sadly died on Thursday.

It is thought the brain hemorrhage could have been caused by her giving birth at an early age.

Prosecutors have now launched an investigation into her death and are speaking to her family and husband.

She was married in a religious wedding when she was just 14. It is not clear how old her widower is.

Speaking to hurriyetdailynews, gynecology expert Professor MD Aydan Biri said the girl’s death could be linked to giving birth at a young age.

She said: “The risks of high blood pressure, early birth or an intervention in the birth are higher. The pregnancies of children who have not completed their physical development and whose organs have not yet completely developed often end in death."

A Save the Children report said 700 million girls were married before the age of 18 around the world.

Photo of dog that killed baby and leave brother fighting for his life

The four-month-old baby mauled to death by a Staffie in his aunt and uncle's home had moved into the house a week before for a 'better life'.

Archie Joe Darby was killed in the attack, while his elder brother Daniel Jay, aged 22 months, was left with life-changing injuries.

The pair and their mother, Jade Rogers, were staying at the home of Jade's sister Clare Ferdinand and her husband John. Reports suggested that Jade was in the bath when the attack began, and she suffered injuries trying to save her two children from the dog.

It has been suggested that the pet may have attacked the young children in an effort to establish its territory following their recent arrival in the home.

A photo taken from Clare Ferdinand's Facebook page showed a Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog, the breed responsible in the attack according to police.

In a statement, the boys' mother and her partner said: 'Our beautiful sons Archie Joe Darby and Daniel-Jay Darby are so, so loved by us all and were such happy little loveable boys.

'It doesn't seem real that our little Archie Bum has gone to heaven and our little Daniel is in intensive care because of a tragic, tragic incident involving a dog attack.

'We have lost our gorgeous little four –month-old baby and our beautiful 22-month-old boy is currently being treated for his injuries.

'Heaven has gained a beautiful little angel and he will be greatly missed by us all and our other little soldier is still fighting strong.'

The dog, which has since been put down, was owned by a serving police officer.

It is not known whether PC Clare Ferdinand, 31, was at the address at the time the dog launched its attack.

As news of the tragedy spread, friends took to social media to pay tribute to little Archie Joe.

Shehu Sani reveals how they negotiated Chibok Girls’ freedom

A key player in the negotiation that led to Thursday’s release of 21 of the Chibok schoolgirls spoke yesterday on the effort that went into the deal.

Vocal civil liberty activist, Senator Shehu Sani drafted the master plan for the negotiation and facilitated the involvement of Switzerland in the talks as well as  the Internantional Red Cross in transporting the girls to safety.

He told The Nation yesterday that with the confidence built on both sides,it might not be long before the remaining girls joined their families.

His words: “I  believe  that this government has achieved what has never been achieved and there I have the  confidence that the other girls will also be released through the same process that was taken for these ones to be released.

“ The confidence has been built on both sides and the parties have agreed to do more.  I can tell you that there was no prisoner swap.  There was none.”

Explaining his role in the release of the girls,Sani said : “Well I actually did not take part in the negotiation but I was the one who drafted the master plan for the negotiation, and I was also the one who invited the Swiss and the RCRC into it, and I was also the one who linked the Swiss  with the person who negotiated .

“This  master plan started from 2014 but it was followed through with the effort of the person who negotiated ,who happened to be Mustapha Zanna, a lawyer in Maiduguri.  I was the one who brought Mustapha  Zanna in with Switzerland   and the RCRC.

“So this effort ,this success , could be said to be  the joint  effort of  Mustapha Zanna,Switzerland  RCRC and the Department of State Security (DSS).

“But I was the one who drafted the master plan  for this.  The reason for bringing Swiss into it was because we needed to have a different country that would offer guarantee to both  the insurgents and the government because previous talks crashed because there was lack of  trust between the government and the insurgents.

“But now, we needed a country that would offer guarantee to both sides.  Switzerland offered to assist after I had  encountered fellows from some of  the countries which we had contacted.  “Swiss offered to facilitate the negotiation  and I linked them up to the negotiator and the master plan was for the government and the insurgents to negotiate.

Continuing,Sani said: “The agreement was reached through  Mustapha Zanna and  the Swiss offering the guarantee. RCRC was not part of the negotiation team. All they did was to ensure the implementation of  the rescue of the girls.

“This is why you see some accusations and counter accusations between the government and the RCRC.”

Asked how he was involved in the 2014 process when  he wasn’t sure that his party (All Progressives Congress) would form the government, Sani replied:  ” I was the one who took  (former President Olusegun Obasanjo) to Maiduguri to go and work out the possibility of  ending  the insurgency.

“It is simply my patriotic zeal to contribute to ending the insurgency.  The last government was not as committed as this government as you could see many of them turn the issue of the insurgency into a big business.  But this is a new government that kept its own promise of addressing  this very problem.”

On how the girls should be handled now that they are out of captivity, the snator said: “These girls need a lot of psychological rehabilitation for the trauma which they have passed through for  all this period of time.

“If you live with the insurgents, you need to b rehabilitated to lead a normal life again. They have been filled with different ideas, so we need to detoxify their minds for the very fact that they felt abandoned; some of them have been brainwashed and indoctrinated.  This is why we need to de-worm them.  It is very necessary.

“We should all help the parents of these girls to be able to cater for their daughters because at the end of the day, no matter what we do to these girls, they will still need to go back to their homes.

“ It will not be unwise  for every state of the federation to at least name one street  in honour of these girls so that next generation will not forget  the names of these girls who have fallen victim of insurgents.”

Meet this 12 yr old child trafficking victim impregnated by her 35 yrs old 'husband' ...photo

A 12 year old girl who was forced to marry a 35 year old Chinese man, and was 4 months pregnant when he took her to hospital this week was trafficked from her home in Vietnam.

Disgusted and shocked doctors called police after the girl appeared in hospital with a huge baby bump and stretch marks. Her  'husband'  tried to fake her as his 20 year old wife but the doctors upon seeing her knew she was no where near that age.

The girl who was unable to speak Mandarin (China's language) couldn't reveal her real age when questioned by doctors which prompted the 'husband' to tell the doctors ‘Do your job’ when the questioning by the doctors became to much.
Major General Ho Sy Tien, Director of the Criminal Police Department with Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security, said they believed the girl was most likely abducted and sold across the Vietnam border sometime between 2010 and 2011 meaning she would have been around six or seven years old at the time she was trafficked.
Tien said:
“So far there have been no results. We have yet to find her family, though initial findings of the case have been published in the media, so anyone who may know her can inform the police.”
The man, who has been arrested, is quoted as saying:
“I took her here to be examined — just do your job. Stop asking so many questions.”

EFCC files fresh charges against Fani-kayode

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has filed fresh money laundering charges against the former spokesman of Goodluck Jonathan's campaign organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode. The fresh charges were filed before the Federal High Court in Abuja.

In the fresh charges, Fani-Kayode is the sole defendant.

Fani-Kayode who was Director of Media and Publicity of the Jonathan campaign, is already standing trial before the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court.

He is facing 17 counts of money laundering before Lagos Division of the court, along with a former Finance Minister, Nenadi Usman; Danjuma Yusuf and a firm, Joint Trust Dimension Nig. Ltd.

They were charged with unlawful retention, unlawful use and unlawful payment of money to the tune of N4.9billion.

But the EFCC in the fresh case filed five counts in which it accused him of diverting N26m allegedly received from the Office of the National Security Adviser while Sambo Dsuki was in office.

The EFCC also accused him of handling the said N26m without going through financial institution as required under the Money Laundering Act.

Fani-Kayode was absent but he was represented by a team of lawyers led by Wale Balogun. Balogun who complained why the prosecution who filed the charges was not aware of the proceedings.

He said that his client had yet to be served with the charges as required. He sought an adjournment and the judge adjourned till November 10 for arraignment.

The judge also ordered that hearing notice be served on the EFCC.

Shocking! There is an Irish man giving Nigerian Women HIV... photo

Tears streamed down the face of 31-year-old Blessing (not real name) as she narrated how her whirlwind romance with a 67-year-old Irish construction worker in Lagos, ended in her getting infected with HIV.

For Blessing, her pain was not just because she had got the virus but that the man, she identified simply as Jim, even intensified his sexual intercourse with her after he learnt of his status more than two years ago.

Blessing walked into the Area F Police Command, Ikeja on Thursday, inconsolable to report Jim’s alleged action.

When she faced journalists on Friday, however, things took a dramatic turn as she screamed at reporters and shielded the man she had accused from being interviewed and photographed.

“You see what you have done now? We could have settled this at home,” she was heard telling the man, who also became furious and lashed out at reporters.

“Jackass, liars. Get out of here,” the Irish man told journalists.

When the scene calmed down somewhat, Blessing launched into a narration of a romance, which she said later devastated her.

She said, “We have been dating for some years. I work as a real estate agent, while he works with a construction company.

“In January 2014, he became ill. He was always sweating and running temperature. So, I accompanied him to see his doctor in a hospital in Ikeja. He was given treatment for malaria but the hospital also ran some tests and usually, they run HIV tests without telling the patient just to be sure.

“When the result came out, we went to see the doctor. I heard the man asking him if I was his sex partner but he said no. The man also asked if he could speak with him in my presence, he said no. When we left, he was given some drugs, which he hid from me.

“Any time he wanted to take the drug, he hid it. Then one day, I caught him taking the same drug. I asked him what it was for and he said it was for a recurrent leg pain he was getting. I wrote down the name of the drug and searched for it on Google. That was when I learnt that it was anti-retroviral drug used for HIV.

“I confronted Jim and asked if he had HIV, he denied it flatly. I then told him to give me his doctor’s number so that I could confirm myself. He said no. While he was sleeping, I took his doctor’s number from his phone and called the man. The doctor told me that he could not speak on the phone and said I should come and see him. When I went there, he broke the news to me that Jim was HIV positive. He then decided to run a test on me. It confirmed that I was HIV positive. I felt like dying.

“I was so angry because he deliberately infected me. I know this because he protected his family. Around the time we went to the doctor together, he sent his wife abroad to ensure she did not contract the virus. But in my case, the sex even intensified that I was happy that he was falling in love with me more every day.”

Blessing said after the initial test, which showed she was HIV positive, the doctor recommended a second test, which again proved that she was indeed HIV positive.

According to her, she was devastated and angry at how her life had changed for the worse.

“Jim denied that he infected me and even accused me of infecting him even though the doctor said this could not have been so considering the fact that it had not manifested in my body in any way, while he had fallen sick long ago,” Blessing said.

She said despite her anger, she still did not want to report the matter to the police.

She said, “But I told Jim that he had to take care of the cost of my medication and had to make sure I was comfortable since he was the one who infected me. He then agreed to pay me N2.5m.

“But he started abusing me. He would say no man would dare marry a girl with a disease like me. I threatened to report him to the police and he said I should go ahead. He said I would become depressed and commit suicide due to stigma if I did that.

“I packed out of his house in anger. Then, one day, I went to his house and found him in bed with my best friend. He did not care. The humiliation was why I decided to finally come to report to the police.”

In Nigeria, non-disclosure of HIV status to a sexual partner and deliberate infection of a partner are criminal offences enshrined in the Sexual Offences Act 2015.

Section 24 and 39 of the law criminalises the “intentionally, knowingly and willfully” transmitting HIVand an act where a person “intentionally fails to disclose to the person in respect of whom an act which causes penetration is being committed, that he or she is infected by HIV or any other life-threatening sexual transmissible disease.”

Jim, who was furious for most part of the encounter with journalists, continued to say that Blessing infected him instead.

“She wanted money from me,” he said.

Jim said he had been in Nigeria for more than 40 years.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DolapoBadmus, said the police were still conducting investigation on the case.

She said, “At the moment, we are treating the lady as the victim and the man as the suspect. If our investigation reveals anything to the contrary, we will amend our focus on the case.

“But we are also going to look for the friend, whom the complainant said she found naked with the man to determine her status. If we find her and she requires test and treatment, we will ensure she gets that as soon as possible.”

Wow! Nigerian Comedian Alibaba reveals how he got into Comedy...

Image result for images of comedian alibaba
Nigeria’s grand master of comedy, Ali Baba has explained to Saturday Beats how he came about comedy.

He explained that he was actually into acting, dancing and photography but delved a little bit into comedy and saw that money was there and decided to settle for that. Hear him;

“Comedy was bringing more money than acting, dancing and photography, even till date. I was a young guy that people believed could not make it, so I wanted to prove everybody wrong. They thought that being a comedian was for people without a future but I made them realise that it was not about the act but the delivery of service. As soon as it was clear that there was service being provided, people woke up to it. I chose stand-up over acting because I was charging N50, 000 in 1993. I made N1.6m in 1994 from Satzenbrau and as of that time, there were a lot of movie actors that could not even ‘smell’ that amount for three years. I went on a tour with Satzebrau and made N1.6m. I was able to make that amount of money because people did not know there was money in comedy. At first, they said I married someone because of money but when they started to realise that there was money in comedy, they started writing, ‘how comedians smile to the bank’.”

Children in Calais Jungle are to arrive in UK 'In Days'

Image result for images of calais jungle
British and French officials have begun registering unaccompanied children in the Calais "Jungle" who are hoping to join relatives in Britain.

A significant number of child refugees will arrive in the UK from the migrant camp within days, the BBC understands.

Officials have been focusing first on unaccompanied minors who have the right to join relatives under EU legislation.

A separate registration process will take place for vulnerable children who do not have family in the UK.

Under EU-wide regulation, asylum claims must be made in the first safe country a person reaches, but children can have their claim transferred to another country if they have family members living there.

The Dubs Amendment to the Immigration Act, originally put forward by Labour peer Lord Dubs, also requires the government to arrange for the transfer to the UK and support of unaccompanied refugee children from Europe.

Britain is expected to take more than 300 children in total.

Man seen lying lifeless on the ground in Calabar...photo

Some residents woke up to a rude shock to find corpse of a man dumped at the Calabar gate, 8 Miles, Calabar, Cross River State this morning, October 14th.

A source who spoke to CaliTown, said the victim believed to be in his thirties appears to have been killed somewhere and dumped there.
"He is properly resting and there are no visible struggle signs on the right pillar at the Calabar gate where he is lying, suggesting that the attack on the victim took place there. He is sporting a flowery brief on a green work coat, while his legs show signs of having walked through a muddy area. There is a depression on the right side of his skull that I suspect was a blow dealt to his head…maybe the injury that killed him. Nobody around the area is volunteering any information but someone that l was able to speak with thinks this is another cult related killing; he doesn’t appear convincing," the source told CaliTown correspondent
