Rt. Honourable Justin Okonoboh, Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly has been sacked by his colleagues. Honourable Kabiru Adjoto has immediately been elected as the new speaker and Honourable Victor Edoroas his deputy.
However, we are still trying to find out what prompted the change of leadership at the House. Be that as it may, there have been rumours of the speaker and his deputy being impeached for months now. Also, the sacked speaker’s predecessor, Honourable Victor Edoror was also sacked under same circumstances in June 2016.
