Zuwara Security Directorate said that it had detained 186 illegal African immigrants after receiving information indicating the presence of abnormal movement in one of the buildings inside the city.
On its Facebook page on Monday, the Directorate disclosed that the immigrants were from different African nationalities including Nigeria, who were waiting to be smuggled to Europe.
The Directorate also arrested a Moroccan national after raiding a house in Abu Kamash area, noting that the house has become a focal point for illegal migration where equipment required for such acts including passports, identification cards for several people of African and Arab nationalities and mobile phones were seized.
