Govt workers, private institutions shun NLC strike action in Abuja
Workers in Abuja defiled the nation wide strike as virtually all civil servants at all levels reported to their respective offices against the directive of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC). Protest against PMS price hike in Abuja Normal activities are in going in all government offices in the federal capital, Vanguard went to town to some agencies of the government and observed that 95 percent of government and private institutions workers opened for work and business. Investigations carried by Vanguard revealed that both civil servants and private workers followed the Trade Union Congress order blaming the defilement of NLC’s order on the divisions in the NLC which they alleged, weakened the entire body. ……..Details shortly
