Popular Yoruba actor, Yemi Solade came on Lagos State Television, LTV 8 recently and blasted star actor cum politician, Hon. Rotimi Makinde when asked about his colleagues in the movie industry, he retorted that Rotimi Makinde is not an actor. His comment on the popular actor, producer cum politician has continued to generate controversy in the movie industry since then.
Supporters of Hon. Rotimi Makinde are saying that Yemi Solade should just shut up and stop talking rubbish about Hon. Rotimi Makinde, they disclosed that Hon. Rotimi Makinde made history as the first Nigerian actor to be elected into the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja.
That’s not all, they revealed that the Ile-Ife born Hon. Rotimi Makinde has featured in 193 movies and produced 13 movies with his hard earned money thereby creating jobs for his fellow star actors and actresses in Nigeria. They added that apart from acting and politics, Makinde is a Chartered Accountant and worked with the NNPC for 20 years serving his fatherland.
