Libya slave trade: Another set of 153 Nigerian migrants return

Another set of 153 Nigerian migrants, including men, women, and children from Libya aboard a Libyan chartered flight at about 9:15pm, last night, 30th November 2017, just two days after 239 Nigeria were returned following the ongoing slave trade crisis.

The return was facilitated by the Federal Government Of Nigeria, including the IOM and it was funded by the European Union project.
The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons [NCFRMI] and other Government Agencies were on ground to receive them and ensure that they were profiled and registered.
Upon landing in Nigeria, they were given a stipend for transportation and taken to a hotel to spend the night before going to their final destination the next morning
The Federal Government Of Nigeria in collaboration with IOM (International Organization of Migration , a United Nations Organization) have been working together in facilitating the return of Nigerian Migrants in Libya for a couple of months now.
According to data collation information by National Commission For Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, almost 5,000 Nigerians have been returned between Feb – November 2017.
