Lady beaten by her married brother after she confronted him for bringing another woman into his martrimonial home

"My brother brought in a woman in his martrimonial home and also gave her his wifes clothe to put on and I reacted wen I saw this and he started beating me. Did I do wrong by asking him to respect his wife and matrimonial home?"
