The Yoruba Nation rally which was planned by Sunday Igboho, the Yoruba Nation activists is currently ongoing in the Ojota area of Lagos State and Policemen were also deployed to arrest any violater of the law and to equally arrest Protesters. However, the leader of the Yoruba Nation rally, Sunday Igboho backed out of the plan to protest after the incident that happened on Thursday.
Recall that the Department of state security services invaded the house of Sunday Igboho, killed 2 and captured 13 including his wife and his close associates. Regarding this issue, the DSS operatives reported having found some harmful weapons in his house which he later disregarded saying he only protect himself with charms and nothing more. However, Sunday Igboho has been declared wanted by the Police.
Regardless of this, the Yorubas Nation Rally is presently going on in Lagos as the women were the ones leading the men on the protest. The Yoruba women dressed in white gathered together to protest for their nation. As a matter of fact, the Igbo agitators who are not quite happy with the decision of the federal government equally joined the Lagos rally, holding various flags including the Biafran flag
No record of arrest has been made but the Lagos rally is widely going on in Lagos now. What is your opinion about this?
