Yoruba Elders Have Not Asked Them To Go Out And Demand The Oduduwa Republic - Tunde Bakare

The Senior Pastor of the Citadel Community Church, Tunde Bakare has reacted to calls for secession by Yoruba Nation agitators, says Yoruba Elders did not instruct the agitators to go out and demand for Oduduwa Republic.

Tunder Bakare made this know during an interview session with BBC Yoruba.

The popular cleric claimed that there won't be the need for anyone calling for Oodua Republic or Biafra Republic, if everything was moving in the right direction in the country. He said when things turns around for good in Nigeria, the Yoruba elders will call the agitators and tell them to stop agitating for secession, adding that the elders never asked them to go out demanding a sovereign state for the region.

Bakare further explained that those agitating for the disintegration of Nigeria are doing so due to the failure of the past and present leaders. He believes if key issues such as insecurity, unemployment, Infrastructure is addressed in the country, then no body will have the thought of leaving the country.

Although the issue of Insecurity has greatly affected President Muhamadu Buhari's government, it is evident that the current administration has achieved a whole lot in the past six years especially in the areas of job creation and infrastructure.
