Two University students drown during pool party in Abia State (Photo) - lailasnewsTwo university students have reportedly died after they drown during pool party.
Students of the Michael Okpara university of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, attended a pool party at Kenvilles hotel, Umuahia. Unfortunately, two Veterinary Medicine students of the university were said to have died during the birthday party. The two undergraduates that drown during pool party have been identified as Johnson Ibe, a 200 level student, and Egwu David, a 100 level student.

Our heart goes out to the family and friends of the deceased.

You may recall that earlier in the month, Uniabuja students watch friend drown because his father is rich. The shocking story of how three University of Abuja, UNIABUJA, freshmen watched their friend, 17-year-old Emmanuel Aigbokhalode Balogun drown at the Dome Hotel pool hit the internet.

According to Mystic Biu who narrated the story, the friends allowed him drown because he was always doing ”shakara” and had all the girls in their school flocking around him.

We hope investigations are carried out to figure out everything surrounding the death of the two student.

Owners of hotels and pool also need to do better around the country to reduce the increasing number of death from drowning during a pool party especially.
