It was gathered that the incident happened at the weekend after Zcent left his Lagos Island home and visited the friend in Ejigbo whom he had talked into gay practice through Facebook.
When he arrived in Ejigbo where he and his friend had fixed an appointment, he was suddenly surrounded by some youths who had already known his mission in the area.
When he arrived, he was forced out of his car and taken to the Catholic Church land where he was stripped, tortured, disgraced and left to his fate.
The operatives of the Nigerian Police were the ones who saved the day for him after the matter was reported at the Ejigbo Division.

Lobatan! Gov Fayose wades in on Apostle Suleman's saga

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has described the adultery allegation against Apostle Johnson Suleman of the Omega Power Ministry by one Miss Stephanie Otobo as a “high-level conspiracy meant to destroy the integrity of the pastor and silence his critical and principled voice of truth and dissent in a nation fast becoming a one-party state.”

The governor expressed his view in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, condemning the scandal as an “evil plan” carried out by the All Progressives Congress (APC) “cabal”  to destroy the controversial pastor’s church.

“This was the same way they tried to drag the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christians Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye in the mud. The whole world was aghast at how they insulted and ridiculed the highly-revered RCCG General Overseer. But for the outcry from all over the world, they almost bundled out Pastor Adeboye from his position as RCCG General Overseer and could have even arrested the General Overseer of Winners Chapel, David Oyedepo,” Mr. Fayose said.
He expressed his support for the embattled pastor, saying, “I stand by Apostle Suleman and other men of God being directly or indirectly persecuted by the All Progressives Congress cabal.

“Their evil plan is to destroy the Church so as to silence every perceivable strong voice of opposition. And their mode of operation is to take on every vocal, principled, and popular man of God one after the other.

"Should it not interest Nigerians and the international community that up till today, none of those herdsmen that killed thousands of Nigerians in Benue, Enugu, Delta, Ogun, Plateau and Kaduna States have been arrested? Even those arrested in connection with the murder of the Abuja-based female pastor, Eunice Elisha, have been released."

Governor Fayose wondered why all the adultery allegations and blackmail against Apostle Suleman surfaced only after he spoke out against the reckless and indiscriminate killing of Christians in Southern Kaduna and his subsequent encounter with the Department of State Services (DSS).

“This, no doubt, is a continuation of the desperate but despicable and condemnable attempts to destroy opposition and the voices of reason in this country so as to subjugate every decent Nigerian and turn the country into a banana republic.

“After politically subjugating many Nigerians, including a section of the judiciary that refused to do their bidding, they have now turned on men of God. This is condemnable," the governor said.

Mr. Fayose charged the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and other Christian bodies not to stay aloof but to stand up resolutely and speak out vociferously against what he called an “orchestrated attempt to destroy the Church and respected Church leaders in Nigeria.”

He berated those behind the travails of Apostle Suleman as confirmed polygamists, serial adulterers, and others whose holier-than-thou attitudes were hypocritical.

“Anyone who has a case against any man of God should swear an oath, proceed to the law court and face the rigors rather than engage in media trials and character assassination, which have become the hallmark of this administration.”

The Ekiti State governor questioned why the perpetrators of the wicked scheme against Apostle Suleman were not relenting even after the father of the woman making the wild allegations had punctured her loathsome and outrageous claims.

“The family of Stephanie Otobo has disclaimed her and her claims. Rather than own up and recant, those paying for the entire drama are making her to change and modify her claims, which are collapsing like a pack of cards. All other efforts to enlist other blackmailers against this man of God have likewise collapsed irretrievably.

“I therefore make bold to say that I stand by Apostle Suleman. I also call on all those who believe in me to do likewise and carry the message abroad. To me, this plot against Apostle Suleman is madness carried too far.

"One wonders why this same resource and vigor with which Apostle Suleman is being blackmailed have not been deployed into confronting those murderous herdsmen that are slaughtering Nigerians like animals across the country,” Mr. Fayose concluded.

Woman suffers burns to her face and hands after her headphones caught fire during flight

A woman suffered burns to her face and hands after her headphones caught fire during a flight to Australia, officials said on Wednesday as they warned about the dangers of battery-operated devices on planes.
The unnamed passenger was listening to music on her own battery-operated headphones as she dozed on the flight from Beijing to Melbourne on February 19 when there was a loud explosion.

"As I went to turn around I felt burning on my face," she told the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) which investigated the incident. I just grabbed my face which caused the headphones to go around my neck. I continued to feel burning so I grabbed them off and threw them on the floor. They were sparking and had small amounts of fire."

Flight attendants rushed to help and poured a bucket of water on the headphones, but the battery and its cover were both melted and stuck to the floor.

Pictures show the woman, who was not named, with a blackened face and neck and blisters on her hands, with passengers having to endure the smell of melted plastic, burnt electronics and burnt hair for the remainder of the flight.
"People were coughing and choking the entire way home," the woman added.
The transport safety bureau, which did not identify which airline was involved, assessed that the lithium-ion batteries in the device likely caught fire.
"As the range of products using batteries grows, the potential for in-flight issues increases," it said, reminding travellers using battery-powered devices they must be kept in an approved stowage unless in use.

Nigerian man who pretended to be son of a King and sexually assaulted teen girls he groomed online jailed in the UK

A 27-year-old unemployed Nigerian national who groomed two teenage girls online and sexually assaulted them, has been jailed.

Taheeb Udusole, of no fixed address, was sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Tuesday 14 March to seven years imprisonment for three counts of sexual activity with a child under 16; one count against a 14-year-old, two against a 15-year-old.

He also received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order [SOPO] and will be deported at the end of his sentence.

Udusole had appeared for trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Monday, 13 March charge with rape against each victim, but changed his plea to guilty for the for three counts of sexual activity with a child, which was accepted.

The conviction and sentencing follows an investigation by the Met's Child Sexual Exploitation Team. Detective Sergeant Laura Hillier, the investigating officer, said:
"Taheeb Udusole is a predator who claimed that he believed the girls were adult because neither arrived in school uniform. Both girls had told Udusole their age and he continued to force them to have sex regardless".

"Unaware that they were victims, these girls have gone through a traumatic experience and should be proud of the strength of character they have shown during the investigation and approaching trial. I hope that today's sentence brings them a measure of comfort and closure and that they can move on with their lives.

"We cannot be certain that there are not more victims who have suffered from the actions of this man who have not yet come forward. I would urge anyone who has been a victim to contact police immediately by dialling 101."

Udusole had met the victims on social media. Initially he claimed to be a 17-year-old boy named Daniel, who was rich due to his father being an African King. He later increased his age to 19, but in reality was an unemployed 27-year-old.

He would typically offer gifts and money to his victims, and then send taxis to collect each victim so they could be brought to him to collect their gifts. Udusole would then have the taxi bring them to an address near his home in east London to try and prevent his victims from knowing where he actually lived.

The victims, who did not know each other, each believed that 'Daniel' was their boyfriend. Both made their allegations against him independently and it was the method Udusole used to meet and groom his victims that led to the Child Sexual Exploitation Team to taking on the investigation, and linking the two cases.

On 5 May 2016 Udusole was arrested by officers. He was initially charged on 6 May with one count of rape against his 15-year-old victim, a further count against the 14-year-old subsequently followed.

Update On N49m Impounded At Kaduna Airport By EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday impounded N49m abandoned in five sacks at the Kaduna International Airport.

The owner of the money is suspected to have attempted to smuggle it out of the country.

The EFCC said in a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, that the bags were left unattended to and without tags.

Upon examination, the bags were found to contain crispy naira notes with seals "emanating" from the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc seen on the packs.

The statement by EFCC read in part, “Operatives of the EFCC, Kaduna Zonal Office, on Tuesday, intercepted the sum of N49m in five large black 150kg sacks following a tip-off.

“During a routine baggage screening, five sacks were sighted unattended to and without tags; they contained fresh bulk items suspected to be money.

“Upon examination, the bags were found to contain crispy naira notes of N200 denomination in 20 bundles totalling N40m and N50 denomination in 180 bundles totalling N9m with seals purportedly emanating from the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc seen on the packs.”

The EFCC added that investigations into the matter had commenced to identify the culprits.

The Head of the EFCC, Kaduna Zonal Office, Mr. Ibrahim Bappah, who spoke on the discovery, told newsmen that the money was found at the baggage check-in of the Kaduna International Airport, ready to be taken out of the country.

Bappah said the discovery of the cash was made possible via a tip-off, prompting the operatives of the anti-graft agency to intercept the money.

Explaining that the owner of the cash initially showed up, Bappah said the owner, whose name was not given to journalists, could not authenticate the amount in the sacks and disappeared before EFCC officials arrived at the scene.

He said the agency would begin investigation to know the source of the money and its real owner.

EFCC said the man's “inability to give any concrete explanation made him become uncomfortable and he disappeared into thin air before the arrival of EFCC operatives.”

Goodluck Jonathan’s godson Finally Arrested Over Looted N2bn

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested a godson of former President Goodluck Jonathan for allegedly stealing N2bn from the NDDC.

The EFCC said it traced deposits of N2bn paid into his bank accounts.

According to the commission, the suspect, George Turnah, who is also a former Special Adviser to Mr. Dan Abia, the erstwhile Managing Director of the NDDC, was arrested by the Port Harcourt office of the commission.

The anti-graft agency said it had searched Turnah’s houses in Yenagoa and Port Harcourt and found some incriminating documents.

The EFCC said, “He was arrested in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in connection with alleged possession of funds running into N2bn, suspected to be funds siphoned from the NDDC while serving there as an adviser. Turnah, widely believed to be a godson of former President Goodluck Jonathan, served in the NDDC between 2012 and 2015.

“Preliminary investigations by the EFCC threw up deposits made in his personal and company bank accounts in excess of N2bn. A search conducted in his houses in Port Harcourt and Yenogoa, yielded useful documents.

“Turnah has made useful statements to the EFCC and will be arraigned as soon as investigations are concluded.”

Turnah is not the only relative of the former President that is under investigation by the EFCC.

Jonathan’s cousin, Robert Azibaola and his wife are currently facing charges before a Federal High Court in Abuja for allegedly receiving $40m.

Azibaola, who has admitted receiving the money, claimed the money was for a "special contract".

Young Nigerian Lady Regains Freedom From Ritual Killers After Five Days

Suspected ritual killers have released a young lady, Maranatha Innocent, who was abducted along Katsina Ala Street, Makurdi, Benue State after spending five days in captivity.

She was coming from a bank where she had gone to make a transaction when she was abducted by three men in a car.

Maranatha’s cousin, Love, told Northern City News that she came back to the house five days after her disappearance but could not utter a word about her experience.

She said that after she was hospitalised, Maranatha informed the family that she was abducted by suspected ritual killers and kept in a house with two other female victims.

Love said, “Maranatha told us that she took an okada from the bank and when they got to a lonely spot along Katsina Ala Street, the Okada man said he wanted to urinate.

As she was waiting for him, a vehicle with three men pulled up and asked her for direction, but she lost consciousness as she attempted to speak and found herself in a room with two other girls who were similarly tied.”

According to Love, Maranatha said a man who appeared to be the leader of the gang entered the room and selected the victim to be used for his rituals.

“All this while, they were not eating, but on that particular day, a man came into the room with a staff and he just placed it above the head of a victim and the staff made a weird sound, but when it came to Maranatha’s turn, the staff just made a small sound and it kept shaking and shaking, so they slapped her and said she should be taken away,” she narrated.

She continued, “She woke up to find herself at that same spot where they abducted her. She woke up to find herself lying on the ground and so she took a bike home,” Love added.

She disclosed that the spot her cousin was abducted is notorious for kidnapping, and that a number of sympathisers phoned to inform her about the high incidence of abduction around the area.

Love said her cousin was molested, but noted that she was recuperating.

Grandmother Sells Three-Year-Old Girl To Pay Rent

A 50-year-old grandmother, Rita Eze, has confessed to being a member of a syndicate that allegedly involved in abducting children from Lagos and selling them in Anambra State.

Eze was paraded along with one Ogochi Nwekei and Gladys Augustine at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja on Tuesday. The fourth suspect, Elizabeth, who was said to be ill, was not paraded.

Punch Metro had reported that Augustine, who claimed to be Mary John, connived with one Samuel, who is at large, to abduct three-year-old Oluwasemilore Adebiyi, from her parents’ residence in the Alagbado area of Lagos.

To hatch the plan, 28-year-old Augustine enrolled for beads-making apprenticeship at Oluwasemilore’s mother’s shop in January, giving her name as Mary John. She fled to Anambra with the girl seven days after.

The girl was handed over to Eze, who confessed to selling her to Elizabeth through Nwekei, for N500,000. Oluwasemilore was, however, recovered by the police after Augustine was arrested in the Badagry area of Lagos on February 23.

Punch Metro had further reported that some parents from different parts of the state had stormed the command and identified Augustine as the abductor of their children, saying the suspect adopted the same gimmick with which Oluwasemilore was abducted.

The victims included four-year-old Farouk and his sister, Kafayat, 6, who were allegedly abducted in the Okokomaiko area in November 2016. The children had yet to be found.

But Augustine denied abducting the kids, saying, Oluwasemilore was her first abduction. She said Samuel had lied to her that he and Oluwasemilore’s mother, Tobiloba Adebiyi, gave birth to the girl, but she (Tobiloba) denied him access to the girl.

The Cross River State indigene stated that Samuel introduced Eze to her as his mother and promised her N50,000 if the plan worked out.

She said, “I came to Lagos in 2010 and I worked as a housemaid. I used the money I got to open a shop. Eventually, I was sent away from the shop and I needed money to start another business. I met Samuel at Mowo bus stop in Badagry in January.

“He said he impregnated a woman and the woman (Tobiloba) left him to marry another man. He said he wanted to get back the child, but the woman refused. He asked me to work for the woman in order to snatch the child and he promised to give me N50,000. On the day I snatched  the girl, I took her to a bus stop and bought her a snack.

“When I took the girl to Samuel, he said I should take her to his mother, Mrs. Eze, in Anambra. He said he would tell the girl’s mother that he was the one who took her. I later returned to Lagos, thinking he had told the woman. I was surprised when the police arrested me.”

The grandmother, Eze, told Punch Metro that she took N40,000 from the proceed, gave Augustine N60,000 and sent the remaining sum to Samuel. She added that she used the money to pay the rent on her apartment.

She said, “I met Michael in December 2016 at a party in Awka through a secondary school friend, who is an aunt to him. He told me that he impregnated a woman in Lagos and that he would send the child to me to help take care of her. When Gladys (Augustine) brought the girl, Samuel told me to sell her for N500,000.

“I informed Ogochi (Nwekei) and she said one of her friends, Elizabeth, wanted to buy a child. Elizabeth paid N500,000. Samuel told me to give Augustine N50,000 and another N10,000 for her transport back to Lagos, while I got N40,000. I sent the remaining N400,000 to Samuel. I used the money to pay my house rent. I have five children and grandchildren.”

Sixty-year-old Nwekei said she only facilitated the sale of the girl, claiming that she did not receive anything from the money.

“I told Rita (Eze) that a friend, Elizabeth, wanted to adopt a child and she promised to call me whenever she got one. One day, she called me that a child was brought to her. I asked her whether there would not be any problem and she assured me that there would be none. I didn’t know it would turn out this way,” she added.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, while briefing journalists on the arrest, said the suspects would subsequently be charged to court.
