The Rivers Judiciary has transferred Justice Ledan Nyordee, the trial judge in the murder of four University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) students, to Isiopko High Court in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
The News agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt, learnt that the authorities, however, directed the judge to continue with the matter that was now at the address stage.
NAN reports that 12 people were arraigned for their alleged complicity in the murder of the four UNIPORT students on Oct. 5, 2012.
The suspects, include Lawal Segun, ex-police Sgt. Lucky Orji, Ikechukwu Amadi, David Chinasa Ogbada, and Abiodun Yusuf.
The others were Joshua Ekpe, Abang Cyril, and Hassan Elewa, the community leader of Omuokiri village in Aluu community, among others.

All the defendants are facing a four-count charge including conspiracy and murder.
The judge had adjourned the case till April 14 to April 20 for the continuation of hearing.
