There is a big wall built and separating ace musician and broadcaster, Yinka Ayefele and veteran broadcaster Kola Olootu. Friends and colleagues had tried to settle the misunderstanding but seems there is more to this. Report also says, some FIBAN members in Oyo state are not in good terms with Yinka Ayefele describing him as a stingy and self centered Man who forgot his friends and benefactors.
Though according to Yinka Ayefele, he described all the allegations as baseless but emphasised that Kola Olootu will forever be his brother and will never disrespect him in anyway. Recounting the kind gesture of the Veteran Broadcaster, Kola Olootu was the one who came to the hospital and when he saw me on my sick bed, he said, “Yinka, why can’t you put some songs together to see how we can raise some funds for you so that you can go abroad for further treatments.” He was the one who suggested
it and thank God I heeded to his advice and it worked for me and
that is why I will forever remain grateful to Kola Olotu.
Yinka sometimes ago said in an interview  "I was working with Kola Olawuyi by
supporting his famous programme, Nnkan Nbe when he was
alive. I produced the entire musical jingle he used on his
programme and I produced theme songs for the programmes
as well. For Gbenga Adeboye of blessed memory, I produced
Choices, one of his albums.
Speaking on his new Radio Station, Yinka Ayefele Said“My online station is self-sponsored
and has the target of reaching out to Nigerians in the
Diaspora by carrying them along and feeding them on what is
happening back home,” he stated. Ayefele added that the
online station could be accessed on
www.ayefelefreshfm.mobi. He also said the Ayefele
Foundation for the Less Privileged was aimed at assisting the
underprivileged and physically challenged. “Most times, I do
not like speaking on what I do to help others; however, I have
a charity organisation called AFLP and an NGO for the aged
and widows. “They are my own way of paying back and
appreciating God in my life. Also, through my music, I help in
disseminating the gospel while putting smiles on people’s
faces,” he added.
In another development, ace broadcaster Otunba Kola Olootu is making a bigger plan to mark his 30years on airwaves and this time its in a big form. Apart from giving back to the society and sponsoring some muslim faithfuls to mecca for Hajj, he is going to give out a brand new car to a fan and this will be in a raffle draw. Lets keep our fingers crossed. Hall and hotels have been booked and plans are underway for the big event happening in the city of Ibadan.
Otunba Kola Olootu omo Adabanija fondly called on radio has impacted positively in the broadcast industry in South West Nigeria and the Yoruba community described him as a man of good character.
The misunderstanding between Yinka Ayefele and himself, is just a misunderstanding between brothers which will be solved privately without anyones interference, he said. "Yinka is part of me and i am part of him, he is one person i thank God for everyday of life. The crisis reported between us is just a small misunderstanding and we will settle it soon" he concluded.
