Gardai say foul play not suspected as body of missing Galway man Robert Murray found

A body was recovered from the water at Galway Docks on Monday afternoon, in the ongoing search for missing man Robert Murray.
Gardai have confirmed on Wednesday morning that the body found is that of the popular young man. Officers say foul play is not suspected.
A spokesperson said: "The missing person search for Robert Murray, 25 years, has been stood down following the discovery of a body at Renmore Beach, Co Galway, on 04/02/19.
"Foul play is not suspected in this incident. A file will be prepared for the Coroner."
Gardai reported that Robert was last seen on Tuesday, January 8, at 10:15pm in the Shop Street area of Galway city.
A renewed search took place last month for the 25-year-old by the Oranmore Maree Coastal Search UnitA garda spokesman said: "At this stage the identity and gender of the person is unknown, the body will now be the subject of a Post Mortem examination and DNA tests to determine the identity."
