“We Both Made A Mistake But I Need Him To Respect Me, Not Dump Me” – American Lady Impregnated By Sammie Okposo Cries Out
Gospel singer Sammie Okposo on Tuesday, January 25 tendered a public apology to his fans where he admitted cheating on his wife with an American lady he met late last year, 2021.
The public apology was tendered after the American lady identified as African Doll had on Monday accused the singer of impregnating and abandoning her.
She claimed that he stopped been sweet and kind to her like he used during their sexual escapades, after he found out that she was pregnant; an attitude she detests.
According to African Doll, they met during one of his concerts in Texas and started following each other on Instagram, he proceeded to ask for her phone number which she gave him.
The lady also said Sammie invited her to his hotel and they spent the nights together. She admitted that she slept with the singer on several occasions.
After informing him of her condition, African Doll claimed the singer asked him to abort the preganancy.
She said: “We still kept contact when he would go back to Nigeria back and forth. He started misbehaving after he found out I was pregnant. He basically blocked me, he told me he was done with the conversation that I’m trying to disgrace him. But I’m telling him the whole time that I am not trying to get anything from you, I am not trying to disgrace you. We are both wrong but respect me and don’t treat me like shit. He even posted pictures of his wife in January and that was like after what we have gotten into it.
“Again its not to slander him, I’ve never asked him for anything other than respect because he got really aggressive and called me a fool and idiot over the phone when I first told him. He said it wasn’t about him not believing me, that it was about doing the needful and getting rid of it.”
Apologising in an Instagram post, Sammie wrote: ”Dear friends, I need to bring a very unfortunate incident to your attention as I am not proud of it but know that this is the right thing to do.
“On my recent trip to the USA (Late 2021), I got intimately involved with a lady, knowing that this was not appropriate as a married man and a minister of the gospel. I am ashamed and regret my actions as it has caused a lot of pain to my dear wife, Ozioma, my family and I.
“As I work in making peace with God, repenting and asking for His forgiveness, I am suspending myself from all ministry work until full restoration as this is what is proper and what I know I owe God and His people.
Addressing his wife Ozioma, he said, “To my wife, Ozioma. I am sincerely sorry I put you through this shameful and embarrassing situation. I broke your trust and disappointed you. Your forgiveness of my moral failure and poor judgement is important to me. I pray I will eventually be able to build back the trust and confidence every single day for the rest of my life.”
Speaking further, the singer also apologised to everyone else he hurt, asking them to pray for him.
“To all that have been a part of my ministry, followed my ministry or know me personally, I am truly sorry for disappointing you. I regret any pain or disappointment that this news of my moral failure and poor judgement may cause you and I am truly sorry for disappointing you. I humbly ask that you continue to pray for me,” he wrote.
In July 2021 Sammie marked his 11th wedding anniversary with Ozioma.
